Top Artists At January 1, 2009

This lists contains the top artists David plays by number of tracks played and includes over 700 groups. In many cases i tried to consolidated groups that had slightly different names over the years (eg. Lloyd Cole & The Commotions and solo Lloyd Cole; M + M and Martha & The Muffins, etc.) but in most cases I left collaborations as separate artist (eg. Dr. John vs. Dr. John & Odetta, etc). Again, artists tied with the same number of plays share the same ranking. This list also includes all bands where I have logger 3 or more tracks being played by the band.

Again, please let me know if you see any glaring mistakes :-)

Pink Floyd just lost out on top billing on this list to David's favourite new artist, Slave to the SQUAREwave. This doesn't include solo Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Richard Wright that David plays or the many Floyd covers, so I think Floyd considered as a whole is still by far David's top artist. I haven't yet taken any time to consider any other significant shifts in rankings from my prior list.
